We have been advised that the delivery of vaccines to our vaccination site at the Derby Arena is minimal for the next 2 weeks and therefore there won’t be any clinics available for booking. The vaccines will instead be used for any housebound or care home patients who are still awaiting vaccines across Derby City. This has been escalated to the CCG by the Clinical Director at the Arena. The Mass Vaccination Service which also operates out of the Arena and other venues locally may have appointments available and can be booked via 119 or via https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/
Please note, this does NOT affect appointments that are already booked. These should still be attended.
We share everyone’s frustration who are awaiting the vaccine and this is affecting all practices across Derby City, not just our Practice. If more vaccines should be delivered then we will update accordingly. Please may we ask that you don’t call the surgery to enquire about the vaccine.
