New Services – Social Prescriber and First Contact Physio

We are pleased to be able to inform patients that we have introduced new services to the Practices.

Judith Kelf is our Social Prescriber.  Social Prescribing involves helping patients to improve their health, wellbeing and social welfare by connecting them to community services.  Judith can help you to find out where you would go to learn a new skill, participate in a new activity, get involved in your community or simply to meet new people.  She can also help you with housing, benefits advice or accessing specialist services and support that can help you.  If you think you would benefit from this service, please ask a member of the Reception staff to refer you to Jude, our Social Prescriber

We also have welcomed Nick Kommatas to the team who acts as our First Contact Physio (FCP).  Nick is an experienced, fully qualified and senior physiotherapist who specialises in musculoskeletal problems.  Nick can speed up patients access to care and ultimately progress the management of MSK conditions by being able to refer patients to an appropriate treatment pathway, such as further investigations or a course of physiotherapy, whilst also offering self management advice and rehabilitation exercise programmes.  Appointments are available to book via Reception or online.
